Horana elderly home fire injures 10, more than 50 evacuated

A fire has broken out at an elderly care home in the Batagoda, Galthatha area of Horana.

The affected facility is the elderly home named 'Senehase Kedella.'

The Fire Department says that three fire engines have been dispatched to the scene.

Reports indicate that 10 residents of the home have been admitted to hospital due to the fire, while more than 50 others have been rescued.
