A three-wheel driver died following a three-wheel mishap on the Dambulla - Kurunegala main road, according to the Gokarella Police.
The mishap occurred this morning (29) in the Ipala area on the Dambulla - Kurunegala road.
The mishap occurred when a three-wheel travelling from the direction of Dambulla towards Kurunegala flipped over on the road after the driver lost control of the vehicle in the Indawala area, the police state.
Steps were taken to admit the three-wheel driver, who sustained serious injuries from the mishap, to the Gokarella Hospital, and he died while receiving treatment there.
The deceased is a 37-year-old resident of the same Gokarella area.
The onward testing regarding the dead body of the deceased individual is being conducted, and officers of the Gokarella Police Station conduct further investigations regarding the incident.
