The ‘P 628’ vessel, donated to Sri Lanka by the United States Government, was officially commissioned into the Sri Lanka Coast Guard a short while ago.
The vessel, assigned to the Coast Guard fleet, commenced its journey to Sri Lanka from the Baltimore Naval Pier on February 21.
The P 628 was gifted by the United States as part of continued cooperation aimed at strengthening Sri Lanka’s maritime security and coastal surveillance capabilities.
