The Horana Chief Magistrate’s Court today (08) ordered the manager of the state bank involved in the Rs. 350 million robbery in Horana to provide police with a report detailing the bank’s cash management and financial administration procedures.
The order was issued by Horana Chief Magistrate Lakmini Widanagama following a request made by police, who stated that a proper understanding of the bank’s financial procedures was necessary for the ongoing investigation into the robbery.
During the proceedings, Rs. 17.747 million in cash and a bag, which had allegedly been hidden by the suspect between an iron rack and a wall inside the bank, were also handed over to court as evidence.
Submissions were made before the court by Chief Inspector Dolamulla and Sub-Inspector Jude of the Western North Crimes Division.
