Snr. DIG Waruna Jayasundara files a writ preventing arrest

Senior Deputy Inspector General Varuna Jayasundara has filed a writ petition before the Court of Appeal today (10), requesting an order to prevent his arrest in connection with investigations into the Easter Sunday terror attacks without any reasonable grounds.

The Inspector General of Police, the Attorney General, and several others have been named as respondents in the petition.
