The Ceylon Teachers’ Union (CTU) alleges that in the education reforms process, the government is bypassing the National Education Commission.
General Secretary Joseph Stalin made these remarks at a press conference held in Anuradhapura yesterday.
He further stated that the current government does not have a proper plan for education reforms.
Speaking at the same press conference, Union President Priyantha Fernando said that a programme to close down rural and difficult schools is currently being implemented.
