Two dead in road incident at Poonawa

Two people have died following a road incident at Galkendegama in Poonawa along the A-9 highway, where a moving lorry collided with a parked lorry.

Police said two individuals were killed in the incident, while another person has been admitted to hospital with injuries.

The deceased are reported to be aged 35 and 43.
