The Department of Meteorology forecasted showers or thundershowers in several provinces and districts of the island today (20).
Accordingly, a few periods of rain may occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces today.
In addition, a few periods of rain are also expected in Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya districts, according to the department.
Although mainly dry weather may prevail in the rest of the island, rainy conditions could develop in some areas during the evening; accordingly, showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Uva and Eastern provinces and in the Mullaitivu district after 2:00 p.m.
