Government has no intention to cause public hardship, says MP Sooriyaarachchi

The National People's Power Member of Parliament, Chandana Sooriyaarachchi, stated that the government possesses no intention to cause any hardship to the public.

Expressing views further to the media, the Member of Parliament mentioned:

"We do not need to cause hardship to the public. We saw that there were such governments. We saw that they were unable to unload the fuel ship that arrived. There was an era where rulers enjoyed luxury, went on foreign trips, and had fun with public funds while people collapsed on the streets."
