The National Water Supply and Drainage Board states that it decided to suspend the water supply to several areas for a period of 24 hours from 8:00 pm tomorrow (24) until 8:00 pm on Thursday, the 25th, due to an essential maintenance activity carried out associated with the main supply pipeline supplying water from Kalatuwawa to Boralasgamuwa.
Accordingly, the water supply to Padukka, Homagama, Kottawa, Pannipitiya, and Palanwatta areas will be suspended.
Furthermore, the board states that water will be supplied to the Maharagama area under low pressure.
The board expresses its regret over the inconvenience caused to consumers due to the suspension of the water supply, and the National Water Supply and Drainage Board requests the public to consume water sparingly.
