Police seek public assistance to find missing young woman

Police Headquarters announced that they seek public assistance to locate a 19-year-old woman residing in Hali Ela, following a complaint received by the Atampitiya Police Station regarding her disappearance.

According to the Police Headquarters, the mother of the young woman had lodged a complaint with the Atampitiya Police on March 6, stating that her daughter had gone missing.

The Police further stated that facts regarding this incident have also been reported to the Welimada Magistrate's Court.

The Police added that the complaint describes the missing young woman as being approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, of average build, with a tan complexion, and having waist-length hair.

Accordingly, the Police Headquarters issued a notice requesting anyone with any information regarding the young woman in the photograph to immediately contact the Officer-in-Charge of the Atampitiya Police via 071-8591528 or the Atampitiya Police Station via 055-2294965.
