The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) intends to initiate disciplinary proceedings against its Horana organiser, Charith Abeysinghe, following his arrest by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) today (25).
Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa addressed the situation in Parliament, confirming that the party maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding criminal conduct.
He stated that a formal investigation will determine the necessary course of action, emphasising that individuals involved in wrongdoing hold no position within the SJB.
The Bribery Commission arrested Abeysinghe alongside Attorney-at-Law Rakkhitha Rajapaksa and former Airport and Aviation Services Director Aruna Sri Chathuranga.
