Kundasale Police Training College OIC arrested for aiding suspect in physiotherapist death case

The officer-in-charge of the Kundasale Police Training College, who previously served as the Menikhinna police station head, remains in custody following allegations that he provided shelter and assistance to the primary suspect in the mysterious death of a physiotherapist in Theldeniya, Kandy. Police confirm that this arrest resulted from a confession made by the primary suspect, who admitted receiving help to evade capture.

The Nuwara Eliya Magistrate's Court yesterday (25) granted a 48-hour detention order for further questioning regarding the primary suspect, his wife, and another individual, all of whom were previously taken into custody in Jaffna. Wide-ranging investigations into the death continue as authorities work to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident.
