Rain is forecast in many regions of the country tomorrow (27), according to the Department of Meteorology.
Showers may occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North Western Provinces, as well as in Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya Districts.
Additionally, rain or thundershowers are expected in several locations within the Uva and Eastern Provinces and the Mullaitivu District.
The department further noted that wind speeds could reach between 30 and 40 kilometres per hour in the western slopes of the central hills, the North Central, North Western, and Southern Provinces, and parts of the Trincomalee District.
