The Department of Meteorology issued an advisory warning of strong winds and rough sea conditions.
Wind speeds are expected to increase between 50 and 60 kilometers per hour in coastal areas extending from Kankesanthurai to Pottuvil via Mannar, Colombo, Galle, and Hambantota.
These sea areas will experience rough conditions at times.
Additionally, wave heights are projected to reach between 2 and 3 meters in the coastal waters stretching from Chilaw to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle, and Hambantota.
