Visitor numbers to Sri Lanka dropped by 9.9% during June 2026, with official data recording 124,551 arrivals compared to 138,241 during the same period last year.
India remained the leading source market, accounting for 35% of total volume with 43,423 visitors, followed by the United Kingdom with 10,474 and Australia with 8,710.
Although the country pursues an ambitious goal of 3 million arrivals for 2026 following a missed target last year, the total number of visitors for the first six months of the year stands at 1,146,573.
