SDIG Varuna Jayasundara leaves CID after 4-hour statement

Senior Deputy Inspector General in charge of the Eastern Province, Varuna Jayasundara, left the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) following a four-hour long statement session.

He appeared before the department to provide information regarding allegations of maintaining connections with an organised criminal figure ‘Kehelbeddera Padme.’
