A 23-year-old resident of Beruwala faces arrest for an alleged online financial fraud involving the loss of Rs. 4,386,219. Police officials stated that the apprehension followed a complaint filed with the North Western Province Unit of the Computer Crime Investigation Division.
Initial inquiries suggest the perpetrator orchestrated the scheme through connections made on Facebook and Telegram. Authorities noted that the suspect allegedly obtained the full sum, with Rs. 500,000 misappropriated so far. The North Western Province Unit of the Computer Crime Investigation Division continues to examine the matter.
