Court seeks analyst report on Chandrasena death

A reminder was issued to the Government Analyst today (08) by Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena, directing the prompt submission of the analyst's report regarding the mysterious death of former SriLankan Airlines Chief Executive Officer Kapila Chandrasena.

The directive went out when the magisterial inquiry into the incident was called up before the court.

The Colombo Crime Division stated during the hearing that the final post-mortem report requires the analyst's reports before completion.

The Magistrate previously issued notices to the Colombo Chief Judicial Medical Officer and the Government Analyst to submit the post-mortem and analyst's reports, as the recording of inquest evidence concluded.

Investigating officers further informed the court that the doctor received notification to provide the relevant medical reports.

The Magistrate issued the reminder letters to the Government Analyst to expedite the reports after considering the submissions.

The case is scheduled to be called up again on the 22nd.
