The Department of Meteorology issued an advisory notice for the sea areas extending from Hambantota to Potuvil and from Mannar to Chilaw via Puttalam.
The notice remains in force until 11 a.m. tomorrow (11).
Wind speeds are expected to increase up to 40 to 50 kilometres per hour in the sea areas off the coast extending from Hambantota to Potuvil and from Mannar to Chilaw via Puttalam.
