Chairman of Udagahapattuwa Cooperative Society steps down

The Chairman of the Raigam Udagahapattuwa Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society, where the National People's Power (NPP) holds power, announces his resignation from his position.

The society faces intense political interference at present, he said, issuing a letter on his resignation.

He further mentions that he resigned from the position due to his unwillingness to lower the status of the post of chairman by acting as a puppet in front of people who lack an understanding of cooperative laws.
