Woman arrested with ice and heroin worth millions in Wattala

A woman was arrested in the Wattala area yesterday, 11 July, with a stock of ice and heroin narcotics worth millions of rupees.

Following a confidential tip-off received by the Police Narcotic Bureau, the raid was carried out within the Wattala police division, where officers took one kilogram and 140 grams of ice along with 538 grams of heroin, into police custody from the possession of the suspect.

The arrested individual is a 36-year-old woman residing in the Mattakkuliya area.

The Police Narcotic Bureau conducts further investigations into the incident.
