Showers expected in several areas

The Department of Meteorology forecasted showers in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts today (16).

Mainly dry weather conditions will prevail in the rest of the island.

The notice further stated that strong winds of about 40-50 km/h could occur at times in the Northern, North-Central, and North-Western provinces, and in the Matale, Hambantota, and Trincomalee districts.
