Bodies of remaining two prison officers in Negombo prison clash brought to Welikada

The bodies of the remaining two prison officers who died following the Negombo prison clash were brought to the Welikada Prison for final respects.

According to the Hiru reporter at the scene, their bodies are placed at the prison's Research and Correctional Training Centre to pay final respects.

The two officers, who were receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Colombo National Hospital, died last Monday night and early the following morning.

The deceased individuals are identified as 39-year-old Sandhika Lashan Gunawardena, a resident of Ambalantota who served in the Police Special Intelligence Unit, and 25-year-old Pasindu Madusara, a prison guard residing in Lunugamvehera.

Furthermore, the bodies are scheduled to be taken to their homes in a short moments.
