Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Limited reported these statistics, detailing 4,748,481 total passenger movements alongside 30,659 aircraft movements and 424,856 transit passengers from January to June.
The transit hub welcomed 1.14 million tourist arrivals over this six-month window, reflecting a minor 1.8% drop from the previous year.
These latest numbers trail an incredibly strong 2025 performance, where the facility processed over 10.2 million passengers and 95,629 flights, proving the island's main gateway remains as relentlessly bustling as ever.
