A fraudulent scheme is underway to swindle money from Aswesuma beneficiaries.
The Welfare Benefits Board announced this following recent reports of the scam.
Various individuals across many parts of the country are calling beneficiaries from different phone numbers, posing as officials from the head office, the board stated in a release.
This activity occurs entirely without the knowledge of the Welfare Benefits Board, and affected individuals should lodge complaints with the relevant police, the statement added.
