Consideration of further facts regarding the writ petition filed by former Director of the State Intelligence Service Major General (Retd.) Suresh Sallay, challenging his arrest and detention in connection with the Easter Sunday terror attacks investigations, was postponed until July 21 by the Court of Appeal.
The application was considered before a Court of Appeal bench comprising the President of the Court of Appeal, Judge Rohantha Abeysuriya, and Priyantha Fernando.
President’s Counsel Sanjeeva Jayawardena presented further facts today (17) on behalf of the petitioner.
Following this, the court ordered the consideration of further facts to be postponed until July 21.
