Lightning strikes kill over 50 people annually

more than 50 people die annually in the country due to lightning strikes

Professor Chandana Jayaratne stated this during a programme held in Colombo today (18).

The Professor also mentioned that huge damage is caused to property and infrastructure annually due to lightning mishaps.
