Local gold prices mark another increase

Gold prices in Sri Lanka increased again today (21), according to the All Ceylon Jewellery and Gold Merchants Association.

A sovereign of 24-karat gold sold at Rs. 376,000 yesterday (20) increased by Rs. 1,000 today and recorded at Rs. 377,000.

According to current price conditions, a sovereign of 22-karat gold sells at Rs. 346,800.

Meanwhile, a gram of 24-karat gold sells at Rs. 47,125, and a gram of 22-karat gold sells at Rs. 43,350.

Jewellery merchants stated that domestic gold prices continue to fluctuate in line with gold price changes in the international market.
