Public Health Inspectors on dengue inspection have discovered a firearm during a house inspection in Battaramulla Palawatte.
A large number of dogs were kept in this place in a very unsanitary manner with live mosquito larvae breeding sites, police stated.
The female homeowner was subsequently arrested alongside the firearm.
Public Health Inspectors of the Battaramulla Medical Officer of Health Office inspected houses yesterday (22) with the support of the Army, Air Force, Police, and the Sri Lanka Red Cross.
Additionally, during the inspection of another house where live mosquito larvae were discovered, a heated exchange of words occurred as the homeowner acted in a manner obstructing the duties of the Public Health Inspectors.
