Showers may occur in coastal areas of Western and North Western provinces, as well as Galle and Matara districts today (24) morning, according to a statement issued by the Department of Meteorology.

Fairly strong winds of about 30 to 40 kilometres per hour can be expected at times in the Northern and North Central provinces, and in Hambantota and Puttalam districts, the statement noted.
