Train operations from Colombo Fort to Talaimannar resume today (24).
Accordingly, the train departs Colombo Fort daily at 3.50 p.m. and will reach the Talaimannar Pier railway station at 10.30 p.m.
Train operations to Talaimannar were suspended due to damage caused to the railway line by Cyclone Ditwah.
However, this train will not stop at the Anuradhapura New Town railway station until the reconstruction work taking place there is completed, the Department of Railways stated.
