Borella National Ayurveda Hospital conducts special clinic for dengue patients

A special clinic to treat dengue patients will begin at the Borella National Ayurveda Hospital from July 31, Hospital Director Doctor Parakrama Hemachandra said.

The Director requested patients who wish to receive treatment under the Ayurvedic medical tradition to reach the Borella National Ayurveda Hospital.

Consultant Physician Doctor Saminda Ariyaratne of the Borella National Ayurveda Hospital strongly emphasised that patients should not use any home remedies for dengue disease other than medicines prescribed by a qualified Western or Ayurvedic doctor.

Especially, he pointed out that some dengue patients became critically ill and faced various difficult complications due to using home remedies like papaya leaf juice.

Therefore, Consultant Physician Doctor Ariyaratne further emphasised that preparing or using medicines according to various messages circulating on social media should not be practised under any circumstances.
