90-day detention orders issued for suspects in restaurant owner murder

A 90-day detention orders under the Prevention of Terrorism Act were directed on the arrested shooter and motorcycle rider involved in shooting and murdering a restaurant owner in Bellanwila.

The restaurant where the crime happened is in front of the main entrance of the Bellanwila walking path in Boralesgamuwa.

Authorities handed both suspects over to the Western Province South Crimes Division for further investigations.

Investigations revealed that these two suspects committed the crime after receiving a payment from an overseas-based alleged organised criminal named 'Sando'.
