Two spill gates of the Canyon Reservoir were opened by 6 inches each, the Disaster Management Centre stated.
Accordingly, authorities stated that, taking into consideration the water level, a need could arise to open the spill gates of the Lakshapana Reservoir as well.
Therefore, a request was made to the public living in the lower areas of the reservoirs and along the rivers to remain vigilant and follow the instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
