The Department of Meteorology has announced that wind speeds in sea areas from Galle through Hambantota to Pottuvil could rise to between 60 and 70 kilometres per hour.
Accordingly, since these sea areas may become very rough, the Department of Meteorology is requesting naval and fishing communities not to venture out to sea until further notice.
