Lanka Metro Transit introduced a new Metro Bus service equipped with drug detection sensor technology with the aim of ensuring a more reliable and safe public transport service while enhancing passenger safety.
This modern technological system is capable of automatically detecting drug usage or other harmful conditions that can affect drivers' driving ability and attention.
The institution points out that an additional layer of safety is created by preventing potential incidents in advance during passenger travel through this.
Lanka Metro Transit further stated that this investment was made for the safety of all passengers by combining advanced safety standards and modern technology, and that maintaining an exemplary public transport service for the entire country while maintaining high professional driver standards is its primary objective.
