Lanka Metro Transit introduced seven new bus routes covering Colombo city and suburban areas, aiming to provide a more efficient, convenient, and systematic public transport service.
The new bus route network is as follows:
Makumbura ➜ Pettah (23.3 km)
Millennium City ➜ Colombo Fort (22.3 km)
Kadawatha ➜ Makumbura (34.8 km)
Dematagoda ➜ Panadura (28.7 km)
Battaramulla ➜ Ekala (29.9 km)
Kollupitiya Circular Route (14 km)
Kesbewa ➜ Pettah (35.7 km)
Lanka Metro Transit expects to provide a more reliable and comfortable travel experience while saving time for passengers daily entering Colombo city and travelling between suburban areas through these new bus services.
