Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North Western provinces, and in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts today (05), while the sky will remain cloudy in those areas, the Department of Meteorology stated in a statement.
Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm may occur at some places in the Sabaragamuwa province and Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Uva and Eastern provinces and Mullaitivu district after 2:00 PM, the department stated.
Fairly strong winds of around 40-50 kmph may occur at times in North Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central, and North Western provinces.
