5-hour water cut to several areas in Kandy

National Water Supply and Drainage Board states that the water supply will be suspended for a period of 5 hours from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow (06) to several areas provided with water by the Pujapitiya Water Supply Scheme.

The board states that the water supply will be suspended due to essential maintenance work.

Accordingly, the areas where water supply will be suspended below:

Medawala (Old) Service Reservoir-
Kewumkohe Road, Gonigoda, Jayanthi Road, Gurukawe, Palkumbura, Idamegama, Arabegama, Gorokgas Anga Road, Elamalpatha, Kotuthenna, Pethiyagodawatta, Kaluwana, Bothota, Harankahathenna, Dodamthenna, Kumburegedara, Dembaralawa, Thibbut and Thalapelallegoda Road.

Medawala (New) Service Reservoir-
Batugoda, Ehela Gashinna, Diddeniya, Owissa, Watagoda, Dombagammana, Hedeniya, Suriyakumbura, Ambaruppa, Harankahawa, Bokkawala, Walathenna and Pathirada.

Gallenawatta Service Reservoir-
Gallenawatta and Khananga.

Galagedara Service Reservoir-
Galagedara, Wamada, Boyagoda related areas, Rambukkana Road, Poholiyadda Road and Kurunegala Road.

Mawatagama Service Reservoir-
Mawatagama, Barandana Road, Rambukkana Road, Paragahadeniya, Yativilla, Millawa and Pilessa.

The Water Supply Board expresses its regret regarding the inconvenience caused to consumers by the suspension of the water supply, and informs the public to consume water sparingly during that period.
