Facilities must be provided to prepare the country's armed forces as a resource highly equipped with scientific and professional skills, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said.
The President stated this while attending a progress review of projects implemented by the Ministry of Defence in the year 2026 and the 2027 pre-budget discussion at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (05).
Progress of projects conducted under the tri-forces, Civil Security Department, Cadets Corp, Department of Meteorology, Department of Coast Guard, and Disaster Management Sector were discussed.
