Transfers were granted to several senior police officers by the Police Headquarters subject to the approval of the National Police Commission.
Accordingly, Senior Deputy Inspector General (SDIG) Kithsiri Jayalath, who was in charge of the Southern Province, is appointed as the SDIG in charge of the Sabaragamuwa Province. SDIG Waruna Jayasundera is appointed to act in the training and advanced training post in addition to the child and women's affairs post.
SDIG K.P. Karunanayake is appointed as the SDIG in charge of the Northern Province from special protection duty, and SDIG Buddhika Siriwardena is transferred from the Northern Province to the post of SDIG in charge of the Southern Province, the Police Headquarters announced.
