The Grade 5 Scholarship Examination of this year takes place today (09).
The exam will commence at 9.30 a.m. at 2,723 examination centres located islandwide.
A total of 294,089 candidates, comprising 220,366 candidates under the Sinhala medium and 73,723 under the Tamil medium, are scheduled to sit for the examination.
Commissioner General of Examinations Indika Kumari Liyanage requested candidates to arrive at the examination centres an hour before the commencement.
