Australia and Vietnam deepen strategic partnership

Australia ​and Vietnam said on ‌Tuesday they had agreed to deepen ​the comprehensive strategic ​partnership between the two ⁠nations.

Both countries expressed ​concern over restrictive ​trade practices that disrupt global supply chains, Australian Prime ​Minister Anthony ​Albanese said in a joint ‌statement ⁠with Vietnamese President To Lam, who is on an ​official visit ​to ⁠Australia.

They agreed to work together ​to support ​supply ⁠chains in areas including critical minerals, ⁠semiconductors ​and clean ​energy, the statement added.
