52 speech therapists to be appointed

The Ministry of Health and Mass Media is to appoint 52 speech therapists.

Handing over of appointments is scheduled to be held tomorrow (13) at the new auditorium of the Biomedical Engineering Division under the patronage of Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, the Health Ministry informed.

In addition, presentation of letters to recruit 64 individuals for radiographer orientation coordination training will also takes place at the same event, the Health Ministry mentioned.

The primary objective of these new recruitments is to maintain patient care services continuously while minimising the staff shortage existing within the hospital system, and to provide a more efficient and quality health service to the public through a formally trained health staff, the Health Ministry added.

Developing the necessary human resources to provide a quality health service to the public and strengthening the free health service of this country is a top priority of the Ministry of Health and Mass Media, the ministry said.
