Eric Meyer sworn in as new US Ambassador to Sri Lanka

Eric Meyer officially assumed his role as the new United States Ambassador to Sri Lanka after being sworn in by US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau.

The career Senior Foreign Service Officer previously served as the Senior Bureau Official for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs.

The United States Embassy in Sri Lanka welcomed the appointment, stating the focus remains on deepening bilateral cooperation, economic ties, and regional security.
