The father of the Chief Incumbent of the historic Kataragama Kiriwehera Rajamaha Viharaya and three other major temples, and the Chief Prelate of the Ruhunu Magampattuwa, Venerable Kobawaka Dhamminda Nayaka Thera, passed away.
The father, Weerakoon Arachchige Martin Singho, was 93 years old at the time of his passing.
The remains lie at his residence in Warakagoda, and final rites are scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 15 at 2 p.m. at the Warakagoda Deepaloka Maha Vidyalaya playground.
