Warm weather expected in several areas

Vavuniya, Mullaitivu, Trincomalee, Polonnaruwa, Batticaloa, Ampara, and Monaragala Districts are expected to experience daytime heat index levels needing special attention, according to an advisory issued by the Department of Meteorology.

Elderly and sick individuals require caution against the rising heat, the department informed.
