New chairman appointed for Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority

Suranjith Weawita was appointed as the new chairman of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.

The new chairman assumed office to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Buddhika Hewawasam, who served as the chairman of the authority.

Buddhika Hewawasam sent his resignation letter yesterday (17) to Tourism, Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment Minister Vijitha Herath, stating that he made this decision due to personal and professional reasons.
