Clearance certificates issued by police headquarters are issued by the clearance division established on the 17th floor of the Suhurupaya building in Battaramulla.
The application for these clearance certificates, calling for reports, and printing of certificates are carried out by a data system, and police mention that this system went out of order from yesterday afternoon (20).
Action is being taken to inform the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) and restore the data system.
Accordingly, police headquarters issued a statement requesting not to apply for clearance reports until this data system is restored, and that steps can be taken to resubmit clearance report applications as soon as it is restored.
